Key point

Your tier appears on your TRS annual statement. Tiers 1, 4, and 6 generally use a highest-three salary average; Tiers 2, 3, and 5 generally use a highest-five average. An official TRS estimate controls if it differs from this site.

Use this in your retirement estimate

Start with the figures on your latest TRS annual statement. The independent calculator can help you explore scenarios, but your official TRS retirement estimate is the final authority.
